Ahh, I love how contemporary African music is infiltrating eardrums everywhere! In another milestone moment for afripop, Ghanian artist Sarkodie and Naija’s own, WizKid both took home awards for Best International Act: Africa at the 2012 BET awards, held last night in LA. #winning
While another duo joked around and won a bunch of awards, Sarkodie and WizKid each took home the prize for best international act from Africa. The winners from last year were Dbanj and 2Face Idibia.
Other nominees for the award this year included Malian rapper, Mokobe, South African singer Lira, Naija’s Ice Prince and Kenyan group, Camp Mulla. All well deserved nominations.
Congrats guys!
