lol @ how she describes how other people describe unmarried women- “oh you mean that girl who is not married?” despite all the other accolades and achievements the woman has. We’d say what Toke says is true – marriage seems to give you status in our culture. Even if your spouse is beating you, cheating on you and not providing any financial assistance for the household, it’s as if it’s better to take all of that than to be single.
