Rap star Tinie Tempah stunned new students at the University of Surrey on Wednesday (October 2) when he he showed up to perform.
The 24-year-old took to the stage at the students’ union’s Rubix club shortly after the university’s vice-chanceller, Sir Christopher Snowden, had completed his welcome speech.
Afterwards, students took to social media to express their delight at the surprise gig and to thank organisers.
Lara Dean said on Facebook: “That was a freaking awesome surprise.
“Thank you so much for the warmest welcome ever to university.
“Tinie Tempah was so good, I’m still buzzing with excitement.”
Afterwards the union said: “I think its safe to say you liked our little surprise.”
