Some of our favs were out and about this week and we’ve got photos – check ’em out after the click.
First up, bad gyal Rihanna was seen leaving dinner in New York City last night rocking a cute ensemble – pants and top by Dimepiece LA, jacket by 3.1 Phillip Lim – along with something I haven’t seen in years – a flip phone.
Chick is probably working on an exclusive line of vintage hand sets. Why else would she be walking around 2014 with a flip phone in New York City? lol we shall see.
The uber talented actress, Uzo Aduba – who plays ‘Crazy Eyes’ on Netflix smash, Orange is the New Black – was honored in New York this week as one of Harper’s Bazzaar 2014 Women Who Dare.
To the reception for the honorees, she wore a Rosie Assoulin top and matching skirt paired with a Blumera clutch and beige pumps.
Verdict is still out on the dress but hair and makeup? Fierce.
Also walking a red carpet was David Oyelowo. The actor looked great at the film screening of the new civil rights movie coming titled, Selma, which tells the story of Dr. Martin Luther King’s life. His co-stars include Common, Tessa Thompson, Ledisi, Niecy Nash and Oprah Winfrey.
The Nigerian-British actor posed for pics with Oprah (who, in addition to playing a role in the film also Executive Produced the film along with Brad Pitt) and the movie’s director, Ava DuVernay, at the event.
Finally, speaking of new movies, South African beaut Gugu Mbatha-Raw looked fab at the New York premiere of her new movie, Beyond the Lights.
In the film, she plays Noni, musician who struggles with love, fame and the pressures of modern pop culture. The movie is directed by Gina Prince-Blythewood (who also directed the classic, Love & Basketball).
Gugu posed with Nate Parker, her co-star in the film, ball player Amar’e Stoudemire, Gina Prince-Blythewood, and rapper, Machine Gun Kelly, at the premiere.
