Sad news coming out of Ghana. It’s been over 24 hours since Ghanaian musician Castro, was reported missing after jumping into the water to save a lady friend during a jetskiing outing. Both their bodies have not yet been found. More on the click.
On Saturday, 32 year old artist Theophilus Tagoe, better known as Castro, hired jet skis with friends including footballer Asamoah Gyan, when disaster struck. He reportedly jumped into the water while trying to rescue his lady friend, Janet Bandu. They are both feared to have drowned and the both of their bodies have not yet been recovered.
Bandu is said to have fallen from the back of the jet ski Castro was riding, and witnesses say he jumped in to try and rescue her.
Blackstars striker Gyan frequently takes holidays in the region, and was visiting following Ghana’s exit from the World Cup after the group stage.
As well as being captain of his national side, Gyan had recently appeared as a guest vocalist on some of Castro’s biggest hit songs.
