Nigeria spent $21 million dollars every day of 2016 importing fuel

According to figures released from the National Bureau of Statistics on Jan 20 – Nigeria spent an average of US$21 million every day importing fuel in 2016. The country imported 18.8 billion litres of petrol in 2016 at a cost of N2.019 trillion over the course of the year.
