Let me find out Janelle Monae can let her hair down! We’re so used to seeing her buttoned up in her “uniform”, hair back, etc. but in this new video for her track, Electric Lady, we’re seeing hair, abs, and curves in addition to her normal flyness. I digs. Catch the video after the click.
Though she released her “The Electric Lady” album back in September of last year, Janelle Monae dropped the official video for the title track today and it’s fab.
In the vid, she plays a member of Electro Phi Betas, a made up Greek sorority. Enjoying all the things that are great about a sorority party – folks dancing, stepping, wearing their letters, etc – the video features Janelle bustin’ a few moves and generally having a great time.
