Up next, your boy Wizkid has let everyone know he’s not about chump change. On a visit to the Nigerian Entertainment Today offices, Wiz reportedly said:
‘I charge N10,000,000 for collaboration but I don’t charge the people I love’
AND
‘I don’t pay for collaborations because I’m confident of myself.
Well there you go. If Wizkid doesn’t love you, get ready to cough up $60,000 to get him on a track. Interestingly enough, Wiz charges only a little less than Drake does for a feature. Drizzy earns anywhere from $69k to $75k for each spot he’s on.

Finally, after scooping up the BET Best African Act 2014 award, Davido is in the running for another major music nod. He’s been nominated for the Best International Performance for his hit single, Aye. He’ll be up against Machel Montano, Nico & Vinz, Sam Smith, Shaggy and Ziggy Marley.
Davido is the only artist representing Africa but there are other Africans nominated – Vincent Dery has roots in Ghana and Nico Sereba’s dad is from Ivory Coast. Nevertheless, it’s a huge accomplishment to be nominated and if either act wins, it will be a great look for the fans of their music.
