In the first episode of rapper Wale’s original series with Jerry Seinfeld, ‘The Matrimony’ the comedian serves up some relationship food for thought, including the revelation that no one’s every really ready for marriage. Watch the clip inside.
In a perfect world, one would think that when you decide to get married, you’re actually ready for it. For the commitment to one person and everything that comes with that. But as comedian Jerry Seinfeld notes during a conversation with rapper, Wale, no one is ever really ready. In the clip, he says:
When you were a kid, you parents seemed like they were ready to do this. But when you have kids, you realize they weren’t and I’m not either and no one is. But there’s not enough time. Ideally, if you could live to be 200, by about 130 you’d be like ‘Okay, I think I know enough now to do this.’ But life is too short.
