Hey hey hey people. Welcome to July 2014. Wanted to wish you all a happy and success-filled July and giist a little bit about what I’m looking forward to in this next half of 2014. More after the click.
It’s crazy because today, July 1st marks the first day of the second half of 2014. Six months of 2014 are completely done and dusted. The first half of the year was great, and I’m looking forward to an even better next half. In fact, three things in particular I’m looking forward to are:
- More creativity. In addition to the web design related things I do, I’ve been really into interior design and general aesthetics lately. Things that look clean, urban, contemporary, modern, African inspired, etc. You’ll probably see more of that here on Giist too. Look out for it.
- More connections. I definitely want to connect more with people in this second half of the year. People like you, readers of Giist, people like my friends who I lost touch with while living in Lagos for the last few years and people who are doing super interesting things on and off the internet, etc.
- More freedom. Omo, If I sey I no dey tired for this 9-5 life, I am just lying. lol don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind working. It’s just the fact that I don’t get to decide how to spend my day. Sometimes I just want to wake up and do what I want, (like go to the gym, read a book, pray, meditate, blog, download new music, shop online, etc). So I’m going to be looking for ways to add more freedom to my life in this second half. Stay tuned for that.
Okay, what about you? What are you looking forward to in the next half of 2014? Drop your comments in the comments section below.
