Congrats to two of Ghana’s finest – rapper Sarkodie was just name Breastfeeding Awareness Ambassador and Ama K. Abebrese, actress and cohost of television show, New Day, was named Brand Ambassador for Dark & Lovely. Photos and details after the click.
First up, Ama K. Abebrese. At a ceremony to launch the new product, ‘Creme 6 Oils’ body lotion, Dark and Lovely Ghana announced the actress and show host as its new Brand Ambassador. Great look for her. (And that ankara top she rocked at the event – so fly).
If you aren’t already familiar with Ama, check out this brief video of her below where she talks about growing up in London, how she got into entertainment, acting in Ghana, etc. (interview starts around the 0:46 mark):
Next up, Sarkodie. The rapper was selected as the official Ambassador for the 2014 Breastfeeding Awareness campaign, themed “Breastfeeding: A winning goal for life.”
At the campaign’s launch event, Sark noted, “One thing women must be educated on is breastfeeding. …And I’m championing this course. …Let save our Babies.”
Nice. Glad to see him champion something like this; it’s not every day you see men of note getting involved in issues like this.
